Terms of Use

Terms of Use

Effective date: August 9, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Laryen official website, game clients, accounts, community features, and related services. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Mandatory rights granted by applicable law are not limited by these Terms.

Article 1 (Purpose and Scope)

These Terms define the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and conditions between the Laryen project (the "Operator") and each person who uses Laryen (a "User"). They apply to laryen.com, Laryen game clients, game servers, boards, chat, customer support, and all related features (collectively, the "Service").

If a platform-specific rule or an individual paid-product condition conflicts with these Terms, the individual condition applies to that matter, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • Account means the credentials and profile used to access the Service.
  • Game Data means characters, levels, inventory, progress, rankings, social relationships, and other records generated through play.
  • Paid Content means subscriptions, virtual items, consumables, or other digital content acquired for payment.
  • Virtual Items means in-game currency, equipment, potions, and other digital values usable only within the Service.
  • User Content means posts, comments, chat messages, profile text, images, and other material submitted by a User.

Article 3 (Operator and Contact)

The Service is operated by the Laryen project. Questions, complaints, appeals, and notices concerning these Terms may be submitted as follows.

Seller or platform information additionally required for a transaction will be displayed on the applicable store, checkout screen, or product page.

Article 4 (Eligibility, Registration, and Account Security)

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it current. You may not register for another person without authority.
  • If you are under 14, or below the digital-consent or contractual age applicable where you live, you may use the Service only with consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • You are responsible for protecting your credentials and devices. Notify the Operator promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • An Account is personal. It may not be sold, purchased, leased, transferred, shared for compensation, or used as collateral.
  • You may request withdrawal and deletion at any time under the Account Deletion Policy. Deleting a platform account does not automatically delete a Laryen Account, and deleting a Laryen Account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.

Article 5 (Service Use and Limited License)

Subject to these Terms, the Operator grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the game client for non-commercial entertainment. No ownership in the Service, software, or Game Data is transferred to you.

You are responsible for compatible equipment, operating-system requirements, network access, carrier charges, and platform accounts needed to use the Service. Available features may differ by device, region, build, or platform.

Article 6 (User Content and Community Rules)

You retain rights you lawfully hold in User Content. To the extent necessary to store, transmit, display, moderate, and operate the Service, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt for technical formatting, and display that content. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for shared content retained by other Users, legal retention, and limited backup copies.

You must have the rights needed to submit User Content. The Operator may remove or restrict content that is unlawful, infringes rights, exposes personal data, is sexually explicit or grossly violent, promotes hate or harassment, impersonates others, advertises unauthorized transactions, is spam, or materially disrupts the community. Reports may be sent to the contact in Article 3.

Article 7 (Prohibited Conduct)

You may not do, attempt, encourage, or assist any of the following.

  • Violate applicable law, these Terms, platform rules, or another person's rights.
  • Use bots, macros, unauthorized automation, cheats, packet manipulation, modified clients, or other tools that create an unfair advantage.
  • Exploit bugs; duplicate items or currency; manipulate matches, rankings, rewards, payments, or refunds; or fail to report a material exploit used by you.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, probe, overload, disrupt, or bypass security or access controls, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.
  • Trade Accounts, Game Data, Virtual Items, or services for real money or outside consideration without the Operator's written authorization.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, defraud, impersonate, expose personal information, or interfere with another User's normal play.
  • Use the Service for commercial solicitation, unauthorized advertising, or transmission of malware.

Article 8 (Enforcement and Appeals)

When reasonably necessary to protect Users, the Service, or fair play, the Operator may issue a warning, remove content, reverse an improper transaction, correct Game Data, restrict a feature, temporarily suspend an Account, or terminate an Account. The measure will be proportionate to factors such as severity, repetition, intent, impact, and relevant history.

Unless immediate action is reasonably required for security, legal compliance, evidence preservation, or harm prevention, the Operator will provide the reason and duration of a material restriction. You may appeal through the contact in Article 3. If a restriction resulted from the Operator's error, affected data or access will be restored where reasonably possible.

Article 9 (Paid Content, Subscriptions, Cancellation, and Refunds)

1) Purchases

Paid Content is purchased through the store or payment platform shown at checkout. The price, currency, taxes, billing cycle, benefits, and other material conditions displayed before confirmation form part of the transaction. The platform may process payment, issue receipts, and apply its payment terms.

2) Subscriptions

An auto-renewing subscription renews at the disclosed interval until canceled. You can manage or cancel it through the store account used for purchase. Cancellation prevents future renewals and, unless the store or applicable law provides otherwise, access normally continues through the paid period. Deleting the game or your Laryen Account does not itself cancel a store subscription.

3) Withdrawal and refunds

Statutory withdrawal and refund rights remain available. For digital content supplied immediately, the withdrawal right may be restricted only where the requirements of applicable law are met, including any required notice and express consent. This restriction does not apply where content is defective, materially different from its description, duplicated, not delivered, or where law otherwise requires a remedy.

Refund requests are handled under applicable law and the rules of the store used for purchase. For a delivery error, duplicate charge, or missing entitlement, contact both the store and the Operator with the order identifier. Nothing in these Terms waives non-excludable consumer rights.

Article 10 (Virtual Items and Game Data)

  • Virtual Items and Game Data are licensed digital records usable only within the Service. They are not legal tender, deposits, securities, property held in custody, or redeemable for cash unless applicable law expressly requires otherwise.
  • You may not transfer or exchange them outside functions expressly provided by the Service.
  • The Operator may adjust balance, names, statistics, availability, or acquisition methods for game integrity and development. Materially adverse changes to Paid Content will be announced and remedied as required by applicable law.
  • Items obtained through error, fraud, unauthorized payment, chargeback, or prohibited conduct may be withheld, corrected, or revoked after reasonable review.
  • Upon Account deletion, remaining Virtual Items and Game Data are handled under the Account Deletion Policy and applicable law.

Article 11 (Updates, Maintenance, and Service Discontinuation)

The Operator may update or change the Service for security, legal compliance, compatibility, balance, content, or operational reasons. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where reasonably possible; emergency maintenance may begin without prior notice.

The Service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, telecommunications failure, platform failure, cyberattack, disaster, war, government action, or other events beyond reasonable control. The Operator will use reasonable efforts to restore it.

If all or a material part of the Service is discontinued, the Operator will ordinarily give at least 30 days' notice and will address unused Paid Content and other user interests in accordance with applicable law. Urgent legal, security, or force-majeure circumstances may require a shorter period.

Article 12 (Intellectual Property)

The Service and its software, artwork, audio, characters, world, logos, text, databases, and other content are owned by or licensed to the Operator and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license in Article 5 or an express written permission, you may not copy, distribute, publicly perform, publish, sell, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit them.

Feedback and suggestions may be used to improve the Service without payment or obligation, provided the Operator does not claim ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property contained in them.

Article 13 (Privacy and Communications)

Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy. Service notices, security alerts, transaction confirmations, and changes to these Terms may be delivered in the game, on the website, through a platform, or to the contact information associated with your Account. You are responsible for keeping that information current.

Article 14 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for loss caused solely by a User's fault, incompatible or altered equipment, unauthorized third-party software, failure to secure credentials, or a third-party network or platform outside the Operator's reasonable control. Free features may be changed or discontinued without compensation unless law requires otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for the Operator's intent or gross negligence, personal injury where exclusion is prohibited, failure to provide purchased content, statutory warranty duties, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Article 15 (Changes to These Terms)

The Operator may amend these Terms for changes in law, platform policy, Service functionality, security, or operations. The amended text, reason, and effective date will be announced at least 7 days in advance. A change materially unfavorable to Users will be announced at least 30 days in advance, unless urgent legal or security circumstances require otherwise.

If you do not agree to an amendment, you may stop using the Service and request Account deletion before it takes effect. The Operator will seek separate consent where required by law and will not treat silence alone as consent where doing so is prohibited.

Article 16 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections applicable in the consumer's country of residence. The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through the contact in Article 3 and may use an applicable consumer-protection or dispute-mediation body.

If a dispute proceeds to court, jurisdiction will be determined under the applicable civil-procedure and consumer-protection laws. These Terms do not force a consumer to waive a court or remedy available under mandatory law.
